Connect AppScope to Apple.
You only do this once. We’ll collect four items from App Store Connect, then AppScope will verify them directly with Apple.

You need an Account Holder or Admin account that can create team API keys.
Before you begin
First, choose what you want to see.
This choice only controls which Apple reports AppScope may read. It does not give AppScope permission to change apps, builds or store listings.
Apple fixes a key’s access when it is created. If you choose Sales now and want financial reports later, you’ll create a new Finance key. Your Sales setup keeps working.
If Team Keys has a Request Access button instead, the Account Holder must submit Apple’s one-time API access request before a key can be generated.
Step by step
Everything you need, in order.

Find the right screen
Open Team Keys.
In App Store Connect, follow this exact path:
- Users and Access
- Integrations
- App Store Connect API
- Team Keys
Use a Team Key—not an Individual Key—because Apple does not allow individual keys to access Sales or Finance reports.

Create the key
Click the blue + beside Active.
Name the key AppScope, then choose the Apple role that matches your choice in AppScope:
- Sales: Sales and Reports
- Finance: Finance
Click Generate. On the next screen, download the .p8 private key immediately.
Apple lets you download the .p8 file only once. Keep it private and never email, commit or share it.

Collect two identifiers
Copy the Issuer ID and Key ID.
Stay on the Team Keys page:
- Issuer ID is above the Active keys table.
- Key ID is in the row for the key you just created.
A Key ID is usually a short 10-character code. The Issuer ID looks like a long UUID with hyphens.

Find the Vendor Number
Open Payments and Financial Reports.
Use Reports in App Store Connect’s top navigation. Your Vendor # appears beneath the legal entity name near the upper-left corner.
The Vendor Number is numeric. It is not your Apple ID, Team ID or app ID.

Finish in AppScope
Enter the four items and connect.
Open AppScope, tap Connect Account, and select the access level that matches the Apple role you created.
- Paste the Issuer ID.
- Paste the Key ID.
- Enter the Vendor Number.
- Tap Choose .p8 File and select Apple’s downloaded key.
- Tap Connect.
AppScope makes one test request to Apple before saving anything. Once it succeeds, your dashboard will load automatically.

Your analytics are ready.
AppScope stores the credentials in the device-only iOS Keychain and talks directly to Apple. There is no AppScope account, server or tracking.
If something doesn’t work
Three quick checks.
Apple says the credentials are invalid
Confirm that the Issuer ID came from Team Keys, the Key ID belongs to the same key as the .p8 file, and the key has not been revoked.
The Finance tab cannot load reports
The key needs Apple’s Finance role. A Sales and Reports key connects normally but cannot read financial reports.
The .p8 download is missing
Apple only offers the private key download once. If the file is lost, create a new key and use its new Key ID and .p8 file together.
